Lobster Steel Sculpture - small (4")
One summer up in Maine, my aunt brought a full wetsuit and went all the way into the cold water in Swanton Cove. She used to scuba dive in the tanks at the Boston Aquarium, so she was used to this sort of activity, but for us it was one of the highlights of our summer. We waited anxiously on the wharf while she scavenged for treasures like a mermaid. She brought up starfish and shells and sea urchins for us to see, but the prize of the day was the blue-est lobster I’ve ever seen. It was so blue it looked like it was glowing. It never occurred to me before that moment that not all lobsters were red. I’m pretty sure it tasted just as good as all the red lobsters we ate that summer.
